Start Your Summer Child Care Planning at the 2020 Summer Camps Fair

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 3, 2020) – For working parents and grandparents at the University of Kentucky, it can be tricky to plan summer activities for children. Summer will be here before we know it, and from athletics to the arts, there are many diverse opportunities to consider in the Lexington area. To make the process easier, UK HR Work-Life invites the UK community to attend the 7th annual Summer Camps Fair.

The 2020 Summer Camps Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the Gatton Student Center Ballroom C. At this free event, guests can meet with representatives from 40 diverse camps.

During the fair, the HR Work-Life team will be collecting new children’s books to donate to the Child Life Program at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Attendees are encouraged to donate to this worthy cause.

For more information about the Summer Camps Fair and to view a 2020 directory of camps, please visit the Summer Camps Fair website.

This event is hosted by the UK Work-Life team with UK Human Resources.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
