Vote Now for Favorite 2017 UK Appreciation Day T-shirt Design

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 28, 2017) — Employees are marking their calendars for Thursday, May 25, when the University of Kentucky takes time to thank all those who make the university a prosperous, connected academic community.

UK Appreciation Day is scheduled 11 a.m.-2 p.m. May 25 at the Seaton Center Gymnasium and the Boone Tennis Center. In addition to new ways for employees to engage in the annual event, UK Appreciation Day will feature some traditional activities that employees have enjoyed over the years, including the T-shirt giveaway.

UK employees can vote now for their favorite T-shirt design from the Staff Senate Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/UniversityOfKentuckyStaffSenate/. The design with the most “likes” will be printed on T-shirts to be given away at the event.

Department orders for Appreciation Day T-shirts must be completed through the Staff Senate online order form no later than April 20, 2017. Every department that completes the form will be sent a confirmation code to be brought to Room 123 Seaton Center between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. May 25, the day of the event. Department T-shirts that are not picked up by 1:30 p.m. will be returned to the general Appreciation Day giveaway.

A full schedule of the day’s events will be available soon, including drawings, dance demonstrations and visits from UK Athletics and a few other special guests.
