DanceBlue Silent Auction: For the Kids

LEXINGTON, KY. (Oct. 2, 2018) — DanceBlue is holding its fourth annual Silent Auction from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Woodford Reserve Room at Kroger Field. DanceBlue is one of the University of Kentucky’s most loved traditions. Every year, hundreds of students prepare for the 24-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon in the spring. All efforts of DanceBlue benefit the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic right here in Lexington.

The Silent Auction is DanceBlue’s signature fundraising event featuring baskets to bid on from Keeneland, Kendra Scott, the UK Athletic Department and more. There will be hors d’oeuvres, a live band and speakers sharing inspirational stories from the DanceBlue Clinic.

All proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the Golden Matrix Fund, which supports the patients and families in the DanceBlue Clinic through housing, food vouchers, gas cards, clinic staff (a child-life specialist and school intervention specialist), as well as furthering cancer research. The ultimate goal of the Golden Matrix Fund is to better the lives of patients and their families.

Buy tickets here: DanceBlue Silent Auction or through the University of Kentucky Ticket Office. Ticket sold in advance are $25 each and $30 at the door the day of the event.
