LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 2, 2009) – Are you looking for a way to leave your mark on campus? UK's Student Activities Board (SAB) is currently accepting applications for various leadership opportunities.

These positions are great opportunities for students interested in gaining real-life experience in marketing, promotions, event planning and leadership. SAB provides a dynamic setting for students to learn and craft their skills so that they are their most marketable selves after graduation.

The current positions that remain open for the 2010-2011 academic year include Traditions programming chair (includes Homecoming), Campus Life programming chair, Engaging Issues programming chair, Director of Graphic Design, Director of Public Relations, public relations intern and President of SAB. We are looking for dynamic student leaders to help SAB progress and serve UK’s campus.

"SAB provides a great opportunity for students," Corey Ballard, SAB president, said. "Not only will skills be enhanced, but all our directors have a vote in what SAB brings to campus in terms of events; it’s a great lesson in utilizing one’s voice to create change on our campus."

Applications are available on the SAB Web site and are due to the SAB office, 203 Student Center, by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4. For more information, please call the SAB office at (859) 257-8867.
