Cheap Seats Presents The Muppets Past and Present
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 28, 2012) – Join Kermit, Miss Piggy and all your favorite friends for a special showing of "The Muppet Movie" at 8 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 28 and the 2011 version, "The Muppets," at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29 and Thursday, March 1, in Worsham Theater at the Student Center. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.
On Tuesday, the 1978 version, "The Muppet Movie," will be played. Join Kermit and friends as they make their way across America toward Hollywood. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, a presentation of the 2011 holiday hit featuring Jason Segal and Amy Adams will be screened in collaboration with The Late Night Film Series. In the newest release, two brothers make a trip to Los Angeles to visit the Muppets at Muppets Studios and convince the group to get back together to perform one more show in order to save the beloved Muppet Theater.
“I saw this movie in theaters and I am so going to see it again at Cheap Seats!” said junior Samantha Oakley. “I loved the Muppets when I was younger and I still do.”
Cheap Seats is a long-running movie series that brings new releases to students for only one dollar! The series runs most Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. in either Worsham Theater or the William T Young Library Auditorium. There is always free, hot popcorn at every showing!
