Cheap Seats Returns for Fall Season

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 7, 2011) – If you’re bummed you missed some movie blockbusters this summer then you’re in luck! Cheap Seats is bringing you some summer hits you can catch on the big screen one last time. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Cheap Seats is a long-running movie series that brings new releases to students for only one dollar! Cheap Seats gives students the chance to see recent movies in theater before each DVD releases. The series runs most Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. in the Student Center Worsham Theater.

The Cheap Seats schedule for this semester is as follows:

Sept. 6 and 7 - "Hangover II"

Sept. 27 and 28 - "Bad Teacher"

Oct. 11 and 12 - "Transformers"  

Oct. 25 and 26 - "Horrible Bosses"

Nov. 16 - "Captain America"

Nov. 29 and 30 - "The Help"

The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
