Legacy Week kicks off with Soundbites with Sundy Best
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 16, 2013) – The Student Activities Board is proud to host Soundbites with Sundy Best. Hear the “mountains behind their music” while enjoying your favorite hits tonight, Tuesday, April 16, at Worsham Theatre. Doors will open 6 p.m., and the show will start at 7 p.m.
The Kentucky based band has gained notoriety throughout the country with their album door without a screen that included singles such as “Home” and “Lily.” The band is composed of Kris Bentley and Nick Jamerson. The duo writes all of their music and their performances are one big sing along with the entire crowd. Their music is influenced by life in the Appalachian Mountains, and their sets are nothing less than entertaining.
“Soundbites with Sundy Best goes in depth with the band about and their journey throughout the music industry,” said Zachary Johnson, SAB director of pop culture. “It’s inspiring to see how a person’s desire for success can help them achieve their dream.”
Soundbites with Sundy Best is part of Legacy Week, occurring April 15-19. The week is dedicated to sending off graduating seniors with fun events that they can remember, although all students are welcome to attend the events. More information about the week and its events can be found on SAB’s Facebook page.
