A Lion Named Roar Continues Coffee House Series
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 6, 2013) — They’re back and they’re ready to roar. A Lion Named Roar will continue Student Activities Board’s Coffee House Series at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Rasdall Gallery. Coffee and snacks will be provided to attendees.
A Lion Named Roar leapt into the Louisville music scene with their distinct mélange of folk-indie-pop. Addicting pop choruses and smooth, compelling vocals have launched the band to notoriety in Louisville and the rest of the country, with help from their stint on Fox’s “America’s Next Greatest Band.” A Lion Named Roar’s new EP, “Foreign Land,” brings together all of the band’s musical identities, leaving listeners singing along to unique hits “This Won’t Last for Long” and “Noon.”
“A Lion Named Roar always provides fun, memorable shows,” said Derek Operle, SAB director of concerts. “Their music brings a unique sound that appeals to all tastes and really is addictive.”
The Coffee House Series is an acoustic and intimate performance featuring regional artists. Past artists include Andrea Davidson, Andrew Harlan and Jessica Adkins.
