SAB Presents ESPN's John Brenkus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2012) — ESPN’s "Sports Science" host John Brenkus will be speaking on entrepreneurial ambitions, perseverance and success at 7 o'clock tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Memorial Hall. This is a free event sponsored by the Student Activities Board Pop Culture Committee.

Brenkus is author of the New York Times Bestseller, "The Perfection Point," as well as creator and host of ESPN’s "Sports Science." Furthermore, he built BASE Productions, an Emmy-winning production company that has created 22 different television series across multiple stations. Brenkus will focus on his personal experiences of perseverance in the early years of BASE Productions and finding success on "Sports Science."

“It’s been a while since SAB has done anything sports-related, and we’re excited to end the streak,” said Gigi Goble, director of pop culture.  “Even if you’re not the world’s biggest sports fan, this event offers an intriguing experience for anyone interested in business, kinesiology or television.”
