Students Encouraged to Pay Parking Citations Before Priority Registration

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2012) ― Priority registration for the University of Kentucky 2013 spring semester classes begins Monday, Oct. 29, and UK Parking and Transportation Services reminds students who have unpaid parking citations that they may be unable to register for classes due to an administrative hold. Students are encouraged to pay their citations before their class registration window opens. They can pay citations online at www.uky.edu/pts/online-services_pay-a-citation.

Administrative holds for outstanding citations are not automatically released upon payment of fees. To remove an administrative hold from a student account, call Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) at (859) 257-5757 after paying any outstanding fees.

Students unsure whether they have outstanding parking citations, may check on the PTS website, found at www.uky.edu/pts/online-services_pay-a-citation. Students can use the myUK portal to check their account, including any unresolved academic or financial holds.
