Anatomy Fashion Show turns heads for a cause
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 14, 2026) — The premedical chapter of University of Kentucky’s Phi Delta Epsilon hosted its annual Anatomy Fashion Show April 11 at Central Bank Center.
Benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network and Golisano Children’s at UK, the Anatomy Fashion Show featured UK students, joined by a patient from UK Golisano Children’s, walking the runway while modeling painted body suits. Each suit showcased a different body system, medical condition or anatomy from the “inside out.” The event raised more than $9,300 for the children’s hospital.
The Anatomy Fashion Show featured 58 models, each accompanied by their own walkout song. Some crowd favorites were the aging body to “Forever Young,” a twin pregnancy to “Baby Mama Dance” and the thermal body heat scale to “Hot in Herre.”
Each model who walked the runaway received plenty of cheers, but the star of the show was the inspiring patient from UK Golisano Children’s.
Sera Davis, a 12-year-old who received a lifesaving kidney transplant in 2024 after being treated since birth at UK Golisano Children’s, walked the runway in a bodysuit showcasing the kidneys. Davis added some excitement to her runway debut with her favorite song, “Circus,” by Britney Spears.
“Tonight, you’re not just watching something beautiful; you’re witnessing a miracle in motion,” Hali Davis, Sera’s mother, said. “Every step down the runway represents a story like Sera’s — a story of courage, community and second chances.”
In addition to the main act of the event, there was also a silent auction complete with items donated from local businesses.
The Anatomy Fashion Show would not have happened without the dedicated students of Phi Delta Epsilon. Among the fraternity, executive board members serve as leaders for the organization and have additional responsibilities.
“The Anatomy Fashion Show is the heart of our organization,” said Elise Clevinger, the fraternity’s vice president of finance. “When we recruit or speak to the community about what we stand for, this fundraiser is what everybody wants to talk about. It’s a really unique event where we can all be creative and engaging while having fun and working together as a big community.”
The money raised during this event is unrestricted and can go toward the Children’s Miracle Network’s greatest needs, ranging from eye exam mobile units for local schools to nebulizer kits for cystic fibrosis patients. No matter the use, the outcome is clear: the funds will go to a worthy cause.
