No. 20/13 Kentucky Welcomes ODU Saturday

SECN+ Broadcast | Live StatsLEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 20/13 Kentucky men’s soccer team will seek to get back on track when it hosts Old Dominion Saturday at The Bell.The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET, and be broadcast on SEC Network+.The setupKentucky’s five-match unbeaten run ended last Saturday at UAB. The Wildcats have a 2016 record of won 7, lost 3, drew 2 (2-2-0 Conference USA).Old Dominion will arrive in Lexington with a 2016 record of 3-2-1 (0-1-1 C-USA). ODU is 0-2-1 on the road this season.The Wildcats are 2-0 in C-USA home matches, and 5-0-2 at home overall.Charlie Reymann has the team lead with six assists – most in Conference USA as well. Napo Matsoso leads Kentucky in goals this season with four, ranking fifth in the league.The precedentKentucky is undefeated at 2-0-2 against ODU all-time including draws each of the past two seasons.The logisticsThe match has been designated International Student Night, an ode to the University of Kentucky’s diverse student population and the men’s soccer team’s global footprint.All students get into the game free of charge.The UK International Center will also host a tailgate outside the gates to The Bell before the match.Kentucky is represented by players from seven nations: The United States, Sweden, Jamaica, New Zealand, Guadeloupe, Scotland and Lesotho.Gates will open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 for the general public and $2 for youth and seniors. Fans can purchase tickets online via Ticketmaster or by calling (800) 928-2287, or at the ticket window at The Bell.Kentucky’s 600-plus season ticket holders can wear their 2016 Kentucky Soccer scarves to gain admission.The first 250 fans at The Bell will receive a commemorative match poster.Parking for the match is first come first served located outside the stadium’s main entrance. Overflow parking will be available above the soccer practice pitch.UK players will sign autographs on the side of the pitch following the match weather-permitting.Coats for a CauseThe University of Kentucky Athletic Department graduate assistants and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee are teaming up with the Lexington Rescue Mission and the “One Warm Coat” foundation to collect coats for our Lexington community. Coats for a Cause invites area residents to make a difference in their neighbors’ lives by donating coats and dollars.Coats for a Cause is collecting clean, gently used warm coats. All donations will be given to the Lexington Rescue Mission for distribution to local children and adults in need. The process is simple: drop off your extra coat(s) and Coats for a Cause takes care of the rest!Want to help spread the warmth throughout the months of October, November and December? Coats for a Cause will have coat collection bins located all around campus. The specific locations include: Commonwealth Stadium Office Lobby, Joe Craft Center/Memorial Coliseum, Shively Training Facility, and the Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Complex. We would love your donations to be collected at any of these locations October 14 through December 2.In addition to having bins set out at these locations, Coats for a Cause also has targeted specific dates they will have collection sites set up for UK sporting events. The Southeastern Conference does not offer men’s soccer as a sport. South Carolina is the only other SEC university that has a varsity men’s soccer team. The Gamecocks are also in C-USA.
