DanceBlue, alum-founded Scripted Fragrance launch candle benefiting pediatric cancer care

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 20, 2025) — DanceBlue is proud to announce an exciting collaboration with Scripted Fragrance, a leading artisan candle company known for its expertly crafted candles in reusable drinking glasses. Together, they have created a custom limited-edition candle, with 35% of the proceeds being donated to DanceBlue’s mission.
The partnership aims to bring light and hope to the fight against pediatric cancer while offering supporters a meaningful way to contribute to DanceBlue’s impactful work.
DanceBlue is the University of Kentucky’s student-led organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and supporting children and families affected by cancer.
A sustainable candle with a purpose
The exclusive, hand-poured candle features an one-of-a-kind scent designed by Scripted Fragrance to represent resilience and joy, reflecting DanceBlue’s mission to uplift children and their families. When the candle is finished, it transforms into a food-grade rocks glass featuring the DanceBlue logo making a treasured keepsake for recipients.
“We are honored to partner with DanceBlue to share this special keepsake for the 20th anniversary,” said Amberlee Isabella, co-founder of Scripted Fragrance and 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky’s College of Design. “I’m proud to have been a founding member of DanceBlue and to have served as the Overall Chair in 2007. This collaboration is a true, full-circle moment and I am honored that we can contribute to DanceBlue in a new, meaningful way.”
“This partnership with Scripted Fragrance is something that expands the outreach of our mission while honoring the legacy of our alumni,” said Ally Curry, DanceBlue fundraising chair. “We’re grateful to Amberlee and her team for this opportunity, and we cannot wait to watch this collaboration thrive in the coming years.”

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
