UK Design Students' Research Showcased at The Livery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 8, 2012) — On May 9, the University of Kentucky College of Design (CoD) will close the academic year with its fifth End of Year Student Show featuring projects and proposals by the college's architecture, historic preservation and interior design students for the 2013-2014 school year.

This annual exhibition showcases the innovative research, design and partnerships taking place at CoD through the work of the most noteworthy studios.

Studios presented in the show are revolutionizing design solutions for problems experienced on a global level and even more locally within the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The UK CoD End of Year Student Show, a free public exhibition, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 9, at The Livery, located at 238 East Main Street in Lexington. A reception for graduating students and their families will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. The  reception for the general public will follow at 7 p.m. In addition to the reception, an ice cream cart will be on hand for the festivities.
