March Madness comes to Lexington for Women’s NCAA Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 20, 2025) — March Madness is coming to Lexington! The University of Kentucky women’s basketball team is set to begin its NCAA Tournament run in Lexington, giving Big Blue Nation the perfect opportunity to cheer them on at home. To celebrate, the UK Alumni Association will host a pregame gathering at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 21, at Wildcat Alumni Plaza, across from Historic Memorial Coliseum on Avenue of Champions. The event is free and open to the public. UK swag will be available while supplies last.
Kentucky, the No. 4 seed in the Spokane Region, will face No. 13 seed Liberty at noon Friday, March 21, at Historic Memorial Coliseum, 201 Avenue of Champions in Lexington.
Tickets for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in Lexington may be purchased through UK Athletics at am.ticketmaster.com/uky/buy, in person at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office or by calling the UK Ticket Office at 800-928-2287.
Should Kentucky advance to the second round, Wildcat Alumni Plaza will once again serve as the UK Alumni Association’s pregame location. Event details will be posted on the UK Alumni Association’s March Madness webpage as they are confirmed.
