Mayoral Candidates Discuss Future of Downtown Lexington in Forum at Memorial Hall Friday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 25, 2018) — Lexington mayoral candidates Ronnie Bastin and Linda Gorton will participate in a forum on the University of Kentucky campus Friday, Oct. 26.  The Great 8th Grade Challenge: A Mayoral Forum on the Future of Downtown Lexington is organized and hosted by UK Associate Professor Buck Ryan's Journalism 101 class. 

Eighth-grade students from social studies classes at Sts. Peter and Paul Regional Catholic School will quiz the candidates.

The event is also open to the public beginning with an opportunity to meet the candidates at 8:30 a.m. Friday, followed by the formal part of the forum from 10 to 10:50 a.m. in Memorial Hall on UK's campus.
