UK Remembers the Lost Members of Campus Community

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 10, 2017) — Since the spring of 2010, the campus has honored those that the University of Kentucky has lost with a simple yet touching memorial service, called UK Remembers. This year, the event will be held 12:15-12:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, on the Plaza, behind the Main Building. All of the people UK touches, from students and alumni, to staff and faculty will be included.

The Bluegrass Ensemble will perform, and UK President Eli Capilouto will give remarks. Cami Grant, of the UK Alumni Association, will speak for alumni; Ben Childress, SGA president, will speak for students; Dave Melanson, staff representative to the UK Board of Trustees, will speak for staff; and Katherine McCormick, University Senate chair, will speak for faculty.

In case of rain, the UK Remembers ceremony will be held in the Woodward Room, Room 307, in the Gatton School of Business and Economics.
