LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 29, 2019) — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Kentucky has released its 2019 fall catalog. From "How to Make Craft Beer at Home" to "It’s Elementary: A Fun Look at Chemical Elements," there is a class for everyone.

OLLI offers educational and enrichment courses, forums, shared interest groups, trips, events and more for adults 50 years and older.

“Taking courses has enabled me personally to keep honing my intellectual, communication and social skills — and for those members who take the OLLI Fitness classes it has allowed them to maintain or even improve their physical strength and health.” Diana Rast, the Lexington board chair for OLLI, added, “The OLLI Office and OLLI Advisory Board work tirelessly to provide educational and enjoyable opportunities for the membership and in some instances the general public.”

Courses vary every semester and formats range from weekly classes to one day intensives. Instructors are passionate about their topics and sharing their love of learning. Courses are taught in the following categories: Computers & Technology, Culture, Health & Wellness, History & Government, Languages, Literature & Writing, Performing & Visual Arts, Science & Environment, and Out of the Box.
