Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb 14, 2012) – University of Kentucky student will be able to express themselves through the art of the spoken word at the Valentine’s Edition Poetry Slam in the Cats Den.

Today at 7:30 p.m. love-inspired poets at all experience levels and backgrounds are invited to participate in the slam. There are no restrictions on poems and participants may perform as many poems as they like. Free refreshments and prizes will be given out during the night.

Keep the good times rolling with the weekly tradition of Comedy Caravan at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, with the jokester Tim Northern and a free concert by Belle Histoire at 8 p.m. Feb. 16, all in the Cats Den. Cincinnati's own, Histoire made it on Absolutepunk's list of most-anticipated albums of 2012. The band landed spot #53, right between Avenged Sevenfold and John Mayer. Belle Histoire is scheduled to release a new album on Feb. 14, just days before the concert.
