College of Arts and Sciences' Podcast Features Community 101
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 14, 2012) —The College of Arts and Sciences produces podcasts that demonstrate work being done by the faculty and students in the college. Each week, UKNow will highlight a podcast. This week focuses on the Community 101 course.
Community 101 is a course designed to help incoming students get their bearings in Lexington by familiarizing them with community organizations and civic institutions. Guest lecturers come to class frequently, and students get to engage with the local organization of their choice for a final project.
At the end of the 2012 spring semester, the students displayed their final projects at the Art Museum in the Singletary Center for the Arts as part of the city-wide Gallery Hop. The A&S Podcast team visited the gallery to see the final projects and chat with some of the students and teachers from the course.
