LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 21, 2020) — In an email Tuesday, Oct. 20, University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto encouraged UK community members to excercise their right to vote. Please view the video above and the message below.

Dear Campus Community,

University of Kentucky offices will be closed and classes will not be in session Tuesday, Nov. 3, as part of Kentucky law that recognizes the Presidential Election Day. UK HealthCare clinics and hospitals will operate on a regular schedule.

UK is one of the largest employers in the state of Kentucky, with the largest student body. As a member of this community, your impact extends far beyond this campus. Your voice matters.

Remember to make your plan to vote for the upcoming election. If you plan on voting in person, protect those around you by wearing your face covering and maintaining six feet of physical distance while waiting in line.
