College of Arts and Sciences' Podcast Features Kristina Pattison

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 21, 2012) — The College of Arts and Sciences produces podcasts that demonstrate work being done by the faculty and students in the college. Each week, UKNow will highlight a podcast. This week focuses on Kristina Pattison.

Though people may believe that humans' thoughts and reactions "separate them from the animals," it turns out that humans, dogs and pigeons have some cognitive similarities to humans.

Kristina Pattison, a doctoral student in the Department of Psychology, has been working with animals for most of her life. In this podcast, she discusses her research as well as practical applications for both the animals she works with and for humans.
