SAB Brings Massages to Studying Students

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 1, 2015)  Join the Student Activities Board's Campus Life Committee for a little rest and relaxation with Massage on the Go from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, in The Hub of the William T. Young Library. This will be the third of the Massage on the Go series for the semester.

Massage on the Go is an event where students come to receive a five minute massage by certified therapists from the Lexington Healing Hearts Academy. Massage therapy, once only offered in the most lavish of spas and health clubs, is offered in businesses, airports, and even shopping malls. Massage therapy is an effective treatment for the reduction of muscle tension, pain and stress. It can also be helpful for anxiety, headaches, and stress-related insomnia.

“Massage on the Go is a great event to attend to take a break from the daily routine of homework and group work,” Abbey Tillman, director of Campus Life, said. “SAB collaborates with the Lexington Healing Hearts Academy to create a safe and fun environment for students to relax for five minutes.”

Campus Life will be wrapping up the Massage on the Go event series for the spring semester Monday, May 4, in The Hub of William T. Young Library.
