LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 5, 2014) — The Student Activities Board Campus Life Committee will again offer free, five-minute massages to students throughout the spring semester. The first Massage on the Go event will take place from 5-8 p.m., today, Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Commons Food Court.

Massage on the Go provides students stress-relief and relaxation during the semester’s busiest times, including midterm and final exams.  Massage therapy students of the Lexington Healing Arts Academy offer the massages. Students will also be able to receive free massages from 5-8 p.m. March 5 in Blazer Café and 6-9 p.m. April 30 in The Hub at William T. Young Library.

“We continue to offer this tradition to our students because they find it so helpful during the most intense moments of each semester,” said Connor Giesselman, SAB director of campus life. “We see Massage on the Go as an opportunity to support our students when they need it most.”

SAB brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
