LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 3, 2013) — As the University of Kentucky Singletary Center for the Arts kicks off a new year of performances, audience members will notice something else new at the performing arts venue — new seating.
All 1,502 seats in the Singletary Center Concert Hall have been completely replaced by brand new seats from American Seating. This is the first seating upgrade at the facility since it opened in 1979. The seating renovation started Dec. 26 and is now complete.
A part of the UK College of Fine Arts, the Singletary Center for the Arts presents and hosts around 400 artistic, cultural and educational events annually for the university community, Lexington community and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
