Traditions T Design Contest Begins

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2011) — It’s time again for students to get creative, edgy, classical, whatever style appeals to them. It’s time for students to submit their designs for the Traditions T contest, sponsored by the University of Kentucky Alumni Association.

Currently enrolled UK students can submit designs now through March 11.

The Traditions T Selection Committee will identify up to five finalists in late March, and students will be able to vote on the winning design April 11 through May 6. The winning design will be unveiled at the beginning of the fall semester.

The Traditions T was established in 2007 as a means to unite the UK student body in celebrating what it means to be a Wildcat.

Artwork is student-designed, and UK students vote each spring semester to determine the winning design. The student who creates the winning design will receive a $500 cash prize, two UK men's basketball student season tickets, and five shirts to give to friends or family.

All UK students, alumni and the general public will be able to purchase the 2011-12 Traditions T at the UK Bookstore, the UK Team Shop, and locations at UK home football games during the next academic year.
