Tickets on Sale Now for 'An Inspired Evening' Celebrating Kentucky Artists
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 25, 2020) — Tickets for An Inspired Evening, hosted by the University of Kentucky Art Museum, are now available for purchase. The museum’s annual fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2020, will celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to the art and culture of the Commonwealth.
As part of the UK Art Museum’s 40th anniversary, the evening soiree will honor all the living Kentucky artists the museum has collected or exhibited throughout their history. While the UK Art Museum features a range of historical and contemporary art from around the world, the museum takes special pride in those artists who make Kentucky their home. At least 36 of these artists will be in attendance!
The evening's themes are Kentucky and time. As part of the festivities, revelers will enjoy fabulous food and drink and lively entertainment inspired by the past 40 years. An Inspired Evening will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 9, throughout the museum's galleries.
Tickets for An Inspired Evening are $80, with $55 of the ticket price being tax-deductible. Tickets may be purchased online at https://finearts.uky.edu/art-museum/ticketing, by phone at 859-257-6218 or by contacting Kate Sprengnether at ksprengnether@uky.edu.
Proceeds from this milestone celebration support the UK Art Museum's year-round ambitious schedule of exhibitions and events, including lectures, workshops and family programming.
As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
