UK choirs celebrate love with a Valentine’s Day-themed concert, ‘That’s Amore!’

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2026) — The University of Kentucky School of Music will present “That’s Amore!,” a love-themed choral concert featuring four UK vocal ensembles, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Singletary Recital Hall. The program brings together the UK Treble Choir, UK Choristers and a cappella groups Paws and Listen and Blue Note for an evening of heartfelt harmonies just days after Valentine’s Day.
All four ensembles will perform music centered on love, connection and joy, with selections ranging from pop favorites of Olivia Dean and Harry Styles to expressive choral works of beloved living composers such as Jocelyn Hagen, Kyle Pederson and Tracy Wong. The concert will showcase talented vocal soloists and instrumentalists from across the UK School of Music.
“‘That's Amore!’ purposefully features lighter repertoire to encourage a broader audience for this concert event,” said Beth Wilson, D.M.A., ensemble conductor and a lecturer in the School of Music. “I’m honored and delighted to lead both UK Choristers and UK Treble Choir this spring.”
Wilson is directing the ensembles while Lori Hetzel, D.M.A., associate director of choral activities, is on sabbatical.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for students. UK students may receive one free ticket with a valid student ID, available exclusively in person at the Singletary Center for the Arts Ticket Office beginning 24 hours prior to the concert. Seating is reserved. Tickets can be purchased online at scfatickets.com or by calling the Singletary Center box office at 859-257-4929.
The UK Treble Choir and Choristers are part of the UK School of Music in the College of Fine Arts.
