Back-to-Back Final Fours Cap Epic Weekend for UK Athletics
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 26, 2012) - BLUE! WHITE! BLUE! WHITE! ... echoes of this cheer could be heard from Atlanta to Lexington, from Rhode Island to Knoxville and all the way to Seattle and back to the Bluegrass over the weekend. As the men's basketball team captured their 15th Final Four berth and the UK Hoops team advanced to the Elite Eight, seven other sports also saw took to the fields and courts in what was an amazing weekend for the university.
The Wildcats' victory over Baylor coupled with the UK Hoops' win over Gonzaga makes the Unviersity of Kentucky the only Division 1 school with both men's and women's basketball teams still playing in the NCAA Tournaments.
