UK FUSION Wants YOU - Faculty, Staff and Students

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 18, 2011) - UK FUSION 2011 is right around the corner. With just a few days until the state’s largest single-day service project, Monday, Aug. 22, it is now crunch time for faculty, staff and students to register for this great event.

Now in its ninth year, FUSION has grown to incorporate more than 1,500 volunteers at more than 100 organizations and service sites in the Lexington community. In this single day of community service organized by students at the University of Kentucky Center for Community Outreach, nearly 5,000 hours of service will be contributed to the surrounding community.

Limited space is still available for faculty or staff volunteers/site leaders. Contact Jillian Pyatte, FUSION adviser, at jillian.pyatte@uky.edu to participate.

Student volunteers are asked to complete the online Volunteer Application Form at www.ukfusion.org. Online registration will close at noon Sunday, Aug. 21.

FUSION kicks off at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, with check in and site selection.
