LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2018) — On Jan. 8th, 2018, David Blackwell assumed the role of provost and chief academic officer of the University of Kentucky.
Blackwell previously served as a professor of finance and dean of the Gatton College of Business and Economics at UK from 2012 to 2018. A two-time graduate of the University of Tennessee, he earned his bachelor's degree in economics in 1981 and his doctoral degree in finance in 1986.
