See 'Gremlins,' 'Office Space' at Worsham

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 2, 2009) - The Late Night Film Series sponsored by the University of Kentucky Student Center ends a successful semester of programming with the 1980s classic "Gremlins" on Thursday, Dec. 3, and the 1990s hit comedy "Office Space" on Friday, Dec. 4. Both films will be shown at the Student Center Worsham Theater at 10 p.m.

In "Gremlins," Billy Peltzer's (Zach Galligan) father gives him a very exotic Christmas present (Gizmo) AND three rules: don't expose him to light, don't expose him to water, and above all else, never feed him after midnight. He breaks the rules and Gizmo morphs into little green devils called gremlins that proceed to terrorize Billy, his family and the little town of Kingston Falls.

With "Office Space" director Mike Judge introduces us to Peter Gibbons (Ron Livingston), a man pushed to his limits. He is fed up with his boss Bill Lumbergh (Gary Cole), his cheating girlfriend (Alexandra Wentworth), and his pointless job at Initech. With the help of hypnotic suggestion gone too far, Peter stops caring.

The Late Night Film Series is open and free of charge to UK students, staff, faculty and their guests. Free popcorn and giveaways will be on hand, and a concession stand will also be available.
