College of Arts and Sciences' Podcast Features Philosophy Professors
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 12, 2012) — The College of Arts and Sciences produces podcasts that demonstrate work being done by the faculty and students in the college. Each week, UKNow will highlight a podcast. This week focuses on Stefan Bird-Pollan and Tim Sundell, assistant professors in the Department of Philosophy.
Bird-Pollan and Sundell have organized a conference focusing on philosophical takes on aesthetic expression. Titled, “Perspectives in the Philosophy of Art,” the conference will conclude a year of aesthetics courses offered by the two professors.
Four invited speakers will offer perspectives on art in society, with graduate commentary to follow.
The event will take place on March 30 and 31, at the Gaines Center for the Humanities and is free and open to the public. For more information, click here.
