College Way and Sports Center Drive to be Repaved

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 4, 2020) — Crews are expected to begin milling and repaving portions of College Way and Sports Center Drive on the University of Kentucky campus as early as next week. Traffic will be maintained, but motorists and bicyclists should exercise caution and anticipate possible delays in these areas.
Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic. The campus bus system's Green Route, which travels both Sports Center Drive and College Way, will continue to operate as normal.
Access will also be maintained to the COVID-19 testing site on College Way and to the College Way West lot for the duration.
Sports Center Drive will be repaved from Cooper to Complex Drive. Work on College Way will span from Wildcat Court to the College Way East and West parking lots.
Once underway, the work is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.
As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
