Healthy Restart FAQs Answered Aug. 12 for UK Faculty, Staff and Students
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 12, 2020) — As University of Kentucky approaches the first day of in-session classes Aug. 17, the university continues to field questions related to specific elements of the campus restart plan. Below are three of the questions most commonly asked by university faculty and staff.
Q: How often will classrooms be sanitized?
A: Classrooms will be cleaned daily. Instructional spaces will also be equipped with hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies for individuals to use to clean their workspaces.
Q: Where can campus employees get a COVID-19 test?
A: The on-campus testing locations are the same for students and employees:
Drive-Through Testing
The Blue Lot at Kroger Field
Walk-Up Testing
UK-owned houses between State Street and University Street
The area between Boyd Hall and the former Blazer Dining facility
Greek Park off of Rose Lane
William T. Young Library lawn at Hilltop Avenue and Woodland Avenue
Q: When will UK employees who participate in Wild Health COVID-19 testing on campus receive results?
A: Like those students testing through Wild Health on campus, employees will receive their results within 24-72 hours.
As of Aug. 8, of the 7,885 students tested, Wild Health reported 47 positive cases and a 0.6% positivity rate on campus. To see updated results from student testing, visit: www.uky.edu/coronavirus/covid-19-testing-results.
