LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 20, 2018) — The Huguelet Drive parking lot is now open with a total of 66 ADA-accessible parking spaces. As a part of University of Kentucky Transportation Services’ summer construction efforts, 25 new spaces were added through a redesign and expansion of the original lot to better assist ADA accessible permit holders in navigating campus.

The Huguelet lot is UK’s largest ADA-accessible lot and is centrally located at the southwest corner of Rose Street and Huguelet Drive adjacent to the Kentucky Clinic and Multi-Disciplinary Science Building, and with convenient access to UK’s Chandler Hospital, Morgan Biological Sciences Building and Jacobs Science Building. The lot can be accessed via Rose Street.

UK Transportation Services is continually seeking ways to better serve permit holders and continues to add additional ADA-accessible spaces where needed and feasible.

UK students and employees with disabilities wishing to park on campus must purchase and display a UK ADA-accessible permit. A state permit or plate alone does not satisfy the requirement. A map of specific ADA accessible parking areas, bus stops and general campus parking can be found at www.uky.edu/pts/parking-info_parking-maps.
