Kicking Off National Volunteer Month
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 1, 2021) — April is National Volunteer Month, and in the video above University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto takes this opportunity to express his gratitude to the many volunteers in the ongoing battle against COVID-19.
The opening of our Kroger Field COVID-19 vaccine clinic in January was another way our community came together to meet the moment. Through this operation, the University of Kentucky has demonstrated our pledge to do more and be more for our state.
Thanks to our heroes on the frontlines, we are able to vaccinate thousands each day. Volunteers at the Kroger Field vaccine clinic, as well as our mobile clinics, have allowed us to come to the aid of our community in the midst of this global crisis.
While we have made tremendous strides, we do still have many people who need to be vaccinated. If you are UK employee or student who is interested in serving the community by volunteering at our Kroger Field COVID-19 vaccine clinic, complete the following steps:
- Fill out our volunteer form here.
- If you’ve already filled out this form, you can go ahead and select a date and time for your shift here.
