LGBTQ* Resources, Work-Life to Host Employee Picnic

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 10, 2016) — The University of Kentucky Office of LGBTQ* Resources and the UK Office of Work-Life will host a LGBTQ* Family and Friends Employee Picnic beginning 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at The Arboretum (500 Alumni Dr.).

The casual event provides a time for employees to network and learn more about UK Human Resources and the UK Office of LGBTQ* Resources. The event also focuses on community building and creating new connections among employees. Families are welcome.

"We are excited to be hosting our second LGBTQ* and Friends Employee Picnic as a way for folks to meet one another and enjoy food and conversation," said Lance Poston, director of LGBTQ* Resources. "The last event engaged employees from across the university including UK HealthCare and main campus faculty and staff members. We hope this only continues to grow.”

Free parking is available at The Arboretum. Attendees may follow signs to the picnic area.
