Michael Malone Leads Comedy Caravan

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 24, 2010) – The University of Kentucky Student Center’s programming is offering something to interest everyone next week. There will be an International Board Game Night on Monday, a Skate 3 Video Game Tournament on Tuesday, and a Comedy Caravan show featuring Michael Malone on Wednesday.

Slated at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, the International Board Game Night provides an old-school and cultured spin on fun. There will be all sorts of games to tickle your nostalgic fancy. Mancala, chess, Trivial Pursuit, Risk, Cranium and Pictionary will be featured as some of the gaming options. There will be prizes -- alarm clocks, color-changing cups, laundry bags, key chains and more -- for winners.

Gamers are encouraged to come out at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, not only by Cats Den coordinators but also by EA Sports representatives for the Skate 3 Tournament. Contestants can compete for prizes, games, T-shirts and free-play cards. It's free to enter, free to win.

Michael Malone, the featured comedian for Comedy Caravan at 8 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 29, may not smoke or drink, but his addiction to Skittles and miniature cans of soda are evidence of not just his unique personality but also his curious perspective on all things -- life, hobbies, experiences and relationships. His sarcasm and wild imagination are sure to tickle your funny bone, just as much as he did others' on the Bob and Tom Radio Show, NBC and National Lampoon's Operation Comedy Tour. Come see why this comedian likes magic bears that ride on too-tiny bicycles.

All events are in the Cats Den, which is located on the ground floor of the Student Center. These Cats Den events are free to UK students, staff and faculty.
