1 Year of COVID-19

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 30, 2021) — University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto takes us on a journey of the past year. For an entire year, our campus community has collectively worked together to battle the challenge of the century.

Now, we have a regional COVID-19 vaccine distribution center at Kroger Field — a collaboration among UK HealthCare, UK Athletics, our Emergency Operations Center and hundreds of volunteers among students, faculty and staff in our health colleges. Every day thousands of Kentuckians are vaccinated at our clinic.

Through all of this, we are continuing to fulfill our sacred missions of education, research, service and care. This is because of you — the UK community. Thank you for the hope you make possible in Kentucky.
