Parking and Transportation Services Offers More Convenient Options for Scratch-Off Permits

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 22, 2017) University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) has expanded the ways that UK employees can purchase single-use scratch-off permits. The permits are now offered online at www.uky.edu/pts, as well as at the department’s satellite office in the UK HealthCare Garage.

These one-day passes are designed for employees who do not possess a regular parking permit. At $3.50 each, scratch-off permits are a cost-effective choice for those who drive to campus fewer than three days per week. This permit type offers an alternative for those who normally walk, ride a bicycle or ride BluPass to campus, but occasionally need to bring a vehicle to campus due to weather, work responsibilities or personal obligations.

Scratch-off permits are only valid in non-gated surface lots and structures. The parking area in which they are valid will vary based on user type.

In addition to the new purchase options listed above, scratch-off permits continue to be available at the PTS offices in the Press Avenue Garage (721 Press Ave.) and the South Limestone Garage (409 South Limestone). PTS also offers student scratch-off permits at all three office locations; however, student scratch-off permits are not available online at this time.
