Share Your Thoughts on Campus Sustainability in Short Survey

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 13, 2017) — Sustainability is one of the core principles of the University of Kentucky Campus Master Plan. To guide implementation of this core principle the university is developing a Sustainability Strategic Plan for campus operations and would like your feedback.

Based on current opportunities, the university has identified six strategy areas to include in the plan:

  • Recycling and Waste Reduction
  • Buildings and Grounds
  • Transportation
  • Energy Use
  • Food and Dining Services
  • Greenhouse Gas Emissions

UK students, faculty and staff are asked to take a short survey regarding these initiatives at https://uky.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_06xL0nEW0ivVgP3. The survey will close at midnight Tuesday, Feb. 28.

While the emphasis of the current planning effort is on operations, a new Faculty Sustainability Council has been formed to focus on curricula.

Your feedback is appreciated and updates will be shared as the strategic planning process moves forward. Learn more about UK’s current sustainability efforts by visiting www.uky.edu/sustainability.
