Some UK dining locations to temporarily close this summer for improvements
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 24, 2026) — Improvements are underway for campus dining at the University of Kentucky this summer, with expanded dining options, service improvements and facility upgrades taking place across campus.
Through the Enterprise Services Partnership, Compass Group — UK’s preferred partner — will begin campus dining and food services among several service areas.
As part of the work to upgrade services for students, employees and visitors, some locations will close temporarily:
- Starbucks at the Kentucky Clinic will close Monday, June 29, for a technology update. Free drip coffee and iced coffee will be available that day. Starbucks will reopen Tuesday, June 30.
- Starbucks at William T. Young Library will close June 29-July 5. Starbucks will reopen Monday, July 6.
- Einstein Bros. Bagels will close June 29-Aug. 23. It will reopen as Uncommon Goods for the Commonwealth on Monday, Aug. 24.
- The Blue Corner Store at The 90 (formerly Wildcat Pantry) will close June 29-July 5 and reopen Monday, July 6.
If you’re dining on campus, you’ll be able to visit the Social House at The 90 (formerly Fresh Food Company) starting Saturday, June 27.
Champions Kitchen and Chick-fil-A in the Gatton Student Center will be open on their summer hours.
