TGI Fridays Supports UK VIP Center

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 19, 2013) — Every meal sold by one of Lexington's TGI Fridays restaurants this Wednesday will benefit the University of Kentucky VIP Center’s Victim Assistance Fund (VAF).

“I’m delighted we have the opportunity to raise funds for our Victim Assistance Fund,” said Melanie Matson, director of the Violence Intervention and Prevention Center.

If patrons eat at the location near Fayette Mall (at 144 Rojay Drive) Wednesday, Nov. 20, TGI Fridays will donate part of the proceeds to VAF.

“This fund supports those in our community who have been impacted by power-based personal violence, including sexual assault, stalking and partner violence. This is just one example of the many simple ways students, staff and faculty members as well as the larger community of Lexington can get involved in ending violence in our community,” Matson said.

Patrons need a coupon to negotiate a successful donation. The coupon can be printed from here, the VIP Center Facebook Wall or stop by the VIP Center on campus to pick one up.
