UK Appreciation Day T-shirt Department Orders Now Being Accepted

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2022)  University of Kentucky Appreciation Day (UKAD) is scheduled for May 26, 2022. We look forward to offering some fun new experiences like interactive inflatables, in addition to long-time favorites such as karaoke, caricatures and vendor booths.

Department T-shirt orders

Department orders for Appreciation Day T-shirts must be completed through the Staff Senate online order form no later than March 25, 2022. Every department that completes the form will receive an immediate follow-up message signaling confirmation of the order. Our committee advises you to check your quantities/sizes ordered and save this confirmation message for the future — it will be at the top of the confirmation page.

A confirmation number will be sent by April 8 to the main contact who placed the department order. Shirts will be distributed prior to Appreciation Day at multiple locations, which are to be determined. The Staff Senate Special Events committee is currently working to establish these locations and times and will share them as soon as this is completed, and each confirmation email sent by April 8 will have this information as well. There will be designated pull-up parking on the day of pick-up, with no permit required to enter. Orders that are not claimed the day of the distribution will be forfeited.  There are no individual orders or late orders.

You can place your department order here.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
