UK Education Library Alters Hours, Services as it Prepares for Dickey Hall Renovation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 7, 2017) In preparation for the upcoming renovation taking place in Dickey Hall this summer, University of Kentucky Libraries has announced several changes regarding the Education Library.

The library's current location in 205 Dickey Hall will operate at reduced hours as print materials are transitioned to off-site storage. Beginning on Monday, March 13, the library will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Faculty and students needing materials from the Education Library are encouraged to retrieve them by Friday, March 17. Circulation activities will cease after this date, but the space will remain open for use through Friday, March 31.

Beginning Monday, May 8, the Education Library will begin operations at a temporary satellite location in 245 Taylor Education Building. Print collections will not be available during the renovation, but librarians will be on hand to service returns, offer Book Express and interlibrary loan pickup and drop-off, and take reference questions.
