UK Law School Conference Changes Venue

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 17, 2011) The inaugural James and Mary Lassiter Distinguished Visiting Professor Conference on "Structural Racism: Inequality in America Today" will now be held at the University of Kentucky's Memorial Hall and the UK College of Law. The Feb. 25 conference, previously scheduled at UK's Hilary J. Boone Center, is being moved to a larger venue due to high interest.

The conference will begin at 8 a.m. with a gathering in the College of Law lobby, and will continue with a welcome and keynote address at Memorial Hall. A complete schedule is available at the conference webpage. The conference, hosted by the UK College of Law, is free and open to the public.

The College of Law also is asking those who plan to attend to register for the event from the conference webpage. Though registration is not required, it will give conference organizers an idea of how many attendees to expect.

For more information on the conference, read the original release or go to the conference webpage at www.law.uky.edu/structural_racism.
