UK partners with Kroger for special discount program
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 8, 2022) — In an exciting new partnership between the University of Kentucky and Kroger, university employees will now have access to Kroger’s employee-exclusive discount program.
The Corporate Partners Special Discount Program is available to all full/part-time faculty and staff, STEPS employees and retirees of UK with a UK ID. This will enable employees to take advantage of 10% off Kroger brands every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at a local Kroger and/or Jay C Food store.
How it works:
- Present your faculty/staff badge to the cashier.
- The cashier will verify eligibility and then scan your Plus card loading special discounts to your card.
- Discounts will automatically come off during the transaction.
The Corporate Partner Special Discount program is available at all Kroger and Jay C stores in the following counties:

- Clark
- Daviess
- Fayette
- Franklin
- Hardin
- Hopkins
- Jefferson
- Jessamine
- Madison
- Marion
- McCreary
- Meade
- Mercer

- Woodford
This discount will work on all Kroger items, excluding random weight (bulk deli lunch meat, random weight meat etc).
Kroger items include:
- Any item with the first five digits of a UPC as 11110
- All Kroger Branded products
- All Private Selection products
- All Simple Truth Products
