UK Remembers

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 27, 2018) — Since the spring 2010, the campus has honored those who the University of Kentucky has lost with a simple yet touching memorial service called UK Remembers.

This year, the event will be held 12:15-12:45 p.m. Friday, April 6, on the plaza, behind the Main Building. All of the people UK touches, from students and alumni, to staff and faculty will be included.

The Bluegrass Ensemble will perform and Provost David Blackwell will speak for the university. Cammie Grant, of the UK Alumni Association, will speak for alumni; Elizabeth Foster, SGA vice-president, will speak for students; Jon Gent, chair of the Staff Senate, will speak for staff; and Katherine McCormick, University Senate chair, will speak for faculty.

In case of rain, the UK Remembers ceremony will be held in the Niles Gallery at the Lucille C. Little Fine Arts Library and Learning Center.
