Upcoming parking impact: Columbia Avenue lots

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 6, 2025) – Contractors are scheduled to seal and repaint the Columbia Avenue East Lot this weekend, which will require the lot to be closed on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-10.

This closure will impact approximately 142 employee intermediate parking spaces, plus six ADA-accessible spaces. In addition, seven parking spaces in the Columbia Avenue West Lot will be sealed and repainted at the same time.

The lots are expected to reopen on Monday, Aug. 11, but be aware that this work is weather-dependent.

Impacted permit holders may park in other nearby areas, including the Woodland Avenue Lot and the Greek residential parking lots located off Columbia Avenue. Those residential lots are open to any valid permit holder during the summer, through Friday, Aug. 15.
